School is my life. Ayurveda is my life. It has become so absolutely impossible to view anything without relating it to Ayurveda in my mind- from the lines on people's faces, to what the girl next to me in the coffee shop is eating, to the guy listening to music with his windows rolled down, to the girl running past me on the street- It is all connected. I guess that's why it is the knowledge of life.
I have begun doing real consultations on the public! Ahhhhh! What a gloriously fun occasion. I meet with someone for anywhere from 2-3 hours...I find out everything about them (or at least everything they are willing to share on our first connection). I mean everything. How many bowel movements do you have per day? What time? What color? Any gas, bloating, constipation? What do you usually eat for breakfast? How are your relationships? Your work environment? Do you have any history of depression? Anxiety? Attachment? Greed? You name it.
I find that people are often shocked by many of the questions- especially the elimination aspect and more often than not, People Don't Know! They don't know how often, they don't know what is usual, there is no usual. Our society has been taken over by the Vata aliens and we are all running around like chickens with our heads chopped off. Sorry, but this is true. We are always on the go, go, go, and the body has little to zero time to rest and digest. Ahh. For the sake of your kidneys, your adrenals, your thyroid- STOP and breathe!
Religion, preventative health, the demarcation problem, silence- these are on the top of my brain. On the tip of my tongue, I love intellectual conversations of these topics- or I love silence between friends. Comfortable or uncomfortable Silence. Silence. Awareness. Transcendental experience, absolute, an expansive state of choiceless, passive awareness- Bliss. This is what I've been thinking about, pondering, exploring, living, being, breathing...
